Cyclopentane is a cycloalkane, an organic compound with a molecular formula of C5H10, a colorless transparent liquid, insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, acetone, etc., mainly used as a solvent and standard materials for chromatographic analysis.

Application

Instead of Freon, it is widely used as insulation material for refrigerators, freezers and other hard PU foam foaming agent

It is used as solvent for polymerization of polyisoprene rubber and cellulose ether, as a substitute for freon's insulation material for refrigerators and freezers and other foaming agents for hard PU foam, and the standard material for chromatographic analysis.
