It is mainly used as an absorbent for acidic gases such as CO2, H2S and SO2, nonionic surfactant, emulsifier, polishing agent, industrial gas purifying agent and lubricant. It is an intermediate of the herbicide glyphosate; It is used as a purifying agent for gases and also as a raw material for the synthesis of drugs and organic synthesis. It is an important corrosion inhibitor and can be used in boiler water treatment, coolant for automotive engines, drilling and cutting oils, as well as various other types of lubricating oils to play a role in corrosion inhibition. It is used as an emulsifier for oils and waxes under acidic conditions, and as a softener for leather and synthetic fibers. It is used as a thickener and foam improver in shampoos and light detergents; It is used as a complexing agent for silver plating, cadmium plating, lead plating, zinc plating, etc.
